biography
The Ventus Quartet was founded in the summer of 2024 and consists of four young flutists: Eva Faganelj, Katharina Kiermaier, Natasa Kása-Gál, and Meret Louisa Vogel. They have all been studying at the Berlin University of the Arts with Professor Christina Fassbender since October 2023. Since its founding, the quartet has received numerous awards for its outstanding performances, most recently first prize at the 21st International Friedrich Kuhlau Flute Competition in October 2025 (with Victor Petroff Miranda as a substitute). Thanks to funding from the Live Music Now Berlin association, which Ventus has received since January 2025, the quartet is able to make its music accessible to a wider audience. The four flutists aim to create an enriching and inspiring experience for every listener through the diversity of flute music.
